About

HISTORY

Kids from the Rosedale Grandmont neighborhoods play ball every spring in ROSEDALE GRANDMONT BASEBALL LEAGUE, an instructional/recreational league supported by all the neighborhood associations.

Founded in 1992, the league is open to boys and girls ages 3-16 in Metro Detroit and is an all-volunteer effort. All families are expected to help in some way: managing, coaching, preparing fields, publicizing, organizing, fundraising, picture day, etc.

The season runs from mid-April through late June; Opening Day is usually the last Saturday in April. Games are played at local fields. Online registration can be done at any time beginning in February.

The season starts with practices throughout April with our Opening Day (complete with parade and ceremonies) around the end of the month. Games are scheduled through the end of June. The league is represented by our all-stars in area tournaments in July and August. All the work in the administration of the league is done by volunteers.
